Textile, Wallpaper
80 cm x 80 cm
A picture frame, pieces of fabric from sample books, a piece of fabric, old wallpaper, wrapping paper.
This collage wall piece is built from fragments of everyday materials like textiles, wallpaper and wrapping paper, they are all combined inside an old picture frame.
The work follows the same principle as a Large Language Model: assembling fragments of existing information to form new meaning.
Each piece of fabric or paper functions like a word, with its origin and colour, but recoded through composition. Together, they create a new surface of two overlapping systems: human and artificial, digital and tactile. The mix of strict shapes and rough edges shows how systems like LLMs try to make order out of many small pieces.
This collage wall piece shows how both people and machines use fragments and patterns to make sense of what they see. What begins as waste becomes a new way of looking at how information, material and meaning are built.
